Ran a pilot summer school program in Summer 2011, testing Blended Learning in Algebra. This was successful and I got further grant funding to continue. Working with a team of math teachers at four high school campuses to develop blended learning model for project-based learning environments. Providing individualized support for teachers. Developing department wide professional development in mathematics education and best practices for tech. Working with both General and Special Education teachers to identify and build resources to address instructional barriers and issues of accessibility.
BTSA Coach, Envision Schools, Aspire Public Schools – August, 2011 – June, 2014
Work with Level 1 Special Education teachers to develop professional goals, improve professional teaching practices and complete BTSA requirements.
Assistive Technology Program Specialist, Envision Schools – August, 2011 – January, 2012
Working with a team of educators across four high school campuses to develop best practices for integrating technology into instruction, providing training, identify and research resources to address instructional barriers and issues of accessibility.
Learning Specialist, Envision Schools – August, 2007 – August, 2012
Duties include providing remedial and differentiated instruction to student with special educational needs and at-risk students within an RTI collaborative consultation model. Co-plan with general education teachers to improve instructional design and plan for large cross-curricular projects, assist in classroom management, lesson planning, assignment scaffolding and design. Design IEP programs and meet with the IEP team. Coordinate access to interventions for at-risk students and monitor progress.
Humanities Teacher, Bay Area School of Enterprise – August, 2006 – June, 2007
Duties included teaching 10th and 9th grade English Language Arts and World History in full inclusion classroom, and two Creative Arts Electives. Collaborating with general education instructors to design cross-curricular projects. Collaborate with Special Education Coordinator to design curriculum inspired by Universal Design for Learning.

Duties included assisting General Education teachers with planning and implementing modified and accommodated High School curriculum in a full inclusion model. Providing supplemental instruction in area’s of IEP goals. Working collaboratively with General Education teachers to design and scaffold large projects.

Duties included curriculum development and instruction in Fine arts and Theater for summer program. After school homework support and remedial instruction during the school year.

Duties included assisting in designing and implementing IEP goals for students with Moderate/Severe disabilities. Designed and implemented therapeutic workability program in ceramics.

Duties included shadowing Special Ed. students in full inclusion classrooms, and preparing supplementary work.

Duties included designing and implementing early intervention developmental programs for students with disabilities. Worked closely with Occupational Therapist, Music Therapist, and Jewish Family Services.

Duties included program planning and running day program serving adults with disabilities and mental health diagnoses.

Duties included residential care for students with a wide range of disabilities. Teaching Grade 11 English and Environmental Science. Designing and implementing highly modified curriculum in both subject areas. Organized and implemented leisure activities i.e. Basketball and Art Studio. Participated in coop teacher preparation program through University of Aberdeen.
My first job was working as a gas station attendant at Chevron when I was 16.
